Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident

Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A young child was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
